Who We Are
TaTanka Plays is a veteran-owned independent game company founded by a husband-and-wife team, one an Army veteran and the other a Navy veteran.
We create games and stories built around exploration, service, community, and the idea that the choices people make matter. Our goal is to create worlds where players can tell their own stories, build something worth protecting, and have a damn good time doing it.

Our belief in service does not stop at the gaming table. As veterans, service and community have been part of our lives for a long time, and those values continue to shape TaTanka Plays.
We also open our home to foster animals through PAWS, giving dogs in need a safe place to land while they wait for permanent homes. For us, “No One Walks Alone” is more than a theme in Stellar Kingdom. It is something we try to live by.

Matt Ebeling
Founder | Writer & Game Designer | Army Veteran
Matt is the founder of TaTanka Plays and the creator of Stellar Kingdom. An Army veteran with a background in public safety, he brings years of storytelling, worldbuilding, leadership, and tabletop experience to the company. Matt handles much of the writing, game design, and creative direction behind TaTanka Plays, with a particular love for building worlds where player choices matter and memorable stories happen somewhere between the rules and complete chaos.
Jayme

Co-Founder | Editing, Customer Service & Playtesting
Jayme is a co-founder of TaTanka Plays and a veteran of the United States Navy. She helps keep projects moving through editing, customer service, and playtesting, bringing both a critical eye and a strong sense of community to the company. Away from the gaming table, Jayme is also involved in fostering animals through PAWS, helping give them a safe place to stay while they wait for permanent, loving homes.

DethKap is an avid gamer and longtime GM with experience across board games, video games, and a wide range of TTRPGs. He especially enjoys building character-driven stories, surprising players, and taking adventures off the rails when inspiration strikes. His gaming background spans Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, Starfinder, Star Frontiers, Toon, RIFTS, Paranoia, and more. For Stellar Kingdom, George will be writing adventures and supplements designed to give players memorable stories and unexpected turns.

Sam is a play tester for TaTanka Plays, mostly serving as the guy who asks, “Wait... does this rule actually make sense?” He’s not the type to have every TTRPG rule memorized, but he loves finding clunky mechanics and helping smooth them out. Sam usually plays a bard and spends plenty of time poking fun at George and Matt. His proudest achievement: Cloud of Daggers vs. Black Puddings.
